February Results

February is traditionally associated with love.  Someone needs to clue in my scales.  Not to negate the fact that a loss is a loss...  I lost 4.6 pounds in the entire month of February.  That's 1.15 pounds a week and a teeny 0.16 pounds daily.

I struggled in February.  I struggled a lot.  The last 7-10 days of the month were the worst.  The scale stopped moving, I got discouraged and the carbs sang...they sang beautiful music.

I fell off hard the last weekend of February starting on Friday with cake at work.  Cake.  This was hardcore bakery-made, professionally decorated cake.  Chocolate, of course, with butter cream icing.  The first bite was divine!  The third or fourth bite started going downhill however, I am NOT a quitter!  I ate the whole piece and all the icing which normally I hate icing.  Can't hate butter cream!  After that I felt gross and sick and my stomach churned the rest of the day.  Lesson learned right?

Saturday I ate pizza.  Not mortal pizza.  This was Pizza Hut stuffed crust SUPREME pizza.  The crust was fresh and delicious and the toppings were plentiful!  Hot out of the oven...oh my...it was amazing.

Saturday night we ordered Jimmy John's.  Normally I'm a fan of their famous unwiches but when I'm in cheat mode I had to have the bread.  Honestly I'm not a huge fan of their bread.  I ate it more just to eat bread than because it tasted good.  Waste of a cheat possibly because it wasn't something I even crave on a normal basis.  Sweets and pizza I crave all day long.  Bread in general not so much.

So that was my fall off.  Seriously, when it was happening it seemed much bigger than three whole cheats.  I could feel myself spiraling back into old habits, wanting to eat anything and everything and not caring how I would feel afterwards.

Sunday I got back on track.  I prepped meals for the week.  We picked up groceries.  I felt more in control.  Oh and there was bacon!

We've discovered the joys of Fathead Pizza!  Look for that post coming soon.  It's really a re-post of any Google search you could do.  I keep meaning to take a picture of the pizza when it's done but it gone before I remember.  I did find this recipe before my big fall off and consequential Pizza Hut love over the weekend but seriously - it's low carb pizza crust - doesn't compete with Pizza Hut.

Obviously my mind is still wandering into to Cheaterville.  I'm back on track now.  My weekend cheat resulted in a merciful .3 pound gain and now a few days later I can say I'm back to my pre-cheat weight.

Moving forward.  Letting the past be the past.  Looking forward to March and finding some new recipes to share!
